To Whom It May Concern,
First of all, I would like to congratulate the Cowboys on a good season. They won their first playoff game in thirteen years, which is a big achievement the franchise. I understand the amount of pressure that has been mounted on the Cowboys these last few years. Ever since Tony Romo became the starting quarterback, everyone had expected that the Cowboys would finally do well in the playoffs. The first year that Romo was quarterback, the Cowboys made it to the payoffs, but lost on a fumbled snap to the Seattle Seahawks. The next year the Cowboys lost to the Giants. This year however, they finally did it.
The problem that I have is that when the Cowboys did finally win a playoff game, they acted as if they didn't have anything more to accomplish. They celebrated as if they had just won the Super Bowl, and in the next game against the Vikings and Brett Farve, this slack started to show in their gameplay. They got in an early deficit of fourteen to three. Even then, when they were looking at elimination, they did not improve their game. I agree that the Vikings are a great team, and Brett Farve is an amazing quarterback. Even so, the Cowboys should have done better.
My hope is that without the weight of the drought on their shoulders, the Cowboys will do better next year. I believe that their has the potential to win the Super Bowl. They need to get their act together and look at the big picture. They have alot of fans who have not seen Cowboys glory for a long time. Maybe next year is the year.
